{"id":1539,"date":"2011-10-15T05:00:34","date_gmt":"2011-10-15T10:00:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/foodiecuisine.com\/wordpress\/?p=1539"},"modified":"2012-02-01T07:47:29","modified_gmt":"2012-02-01T13:47:29","slug":"big-orange-in-little-rock","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/foodiecuisine.com\/wordpress\/reviews\/big-orange-in-little-rock\/","title":{"rendered":"Big Orange in Little Rock"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>By Todd Barron @ FoodieCuisine.com<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bigorangeburger.com\/\">Big Orange<\/a> is a burger\/salad\/shakes restaurant which opened very recently in the Promenade shopping center on Chenal Parkway in Little Rock, AR.\u00a0 The owners of the restaurant also own Zaza\u2019s Pizza in Little Rock, among other places, and indicates to me they plan to make Big Orange a chain (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.aymag.com\/AY-Magazine\/January-2011\/Getting-a-Bigger-Piece-of-the-Pie\/\">since Zaza\u2019s is moving that direction<\/a>.)\u00a0 I have no problem with this as Zaza\u2019s Pizza serves very tasty pizza!<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1543\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/foodiecuisine.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/pecorino_burger.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1543\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1543\" title=\"White Truffle & Pecorino Cheese Burger\" src=\"http:\/\/foodiecuisine.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/pecorino_burger-300x179.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"179\" srcset=\"http:\/\/foodiecuisine.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/pecorino_burger-300x179.jpg 300w, http:\/\/foodiecuisine.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/pecorino_burger.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1543\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">White Truffle & Pecorino Cheese Burger<\/p><\/div>\n<p>I did not have time to dine in but opted for takeout for my family.\u00a0 I ordered the burger with <strong>White Truffle & Pecorino Cheese<\/strong> ($12,) <strong>the Farmer Burger<\/strong> ($9.25,) and the <strong>Mushroom Melt Burger<\/strong> ($8.50).\u00a0 I also ordered a couple of sides of <strong>Sweet Potato Fries<\/strong> ($3.50).<\/p>\n<p>The fries come with a side of mango-curry ketchup which has a ton of flavor and may be a bit too strong for many people.\u00a0 I enjoyed it but no one else in my household used it.\u00a0 The fries themselves are heavily fried but have a good sweet potato flavor to them.<\/p>\n<p>My burger was topped with White Truffle & Pecorino Cheese, Arugula, Fig Jam, and White Truffle, and Mayo.\u00a0 The cheese was wonderful and the fig jam gave the burger a nice sweetness which I am not used to on a burger.\u00a0 The truffle oil worked well with the arugula and overall I really enjoyed it.\u00a0 My only complaint is the burger could have been ground better as it had a few pieces of gristle in it which made chewing difficult.\u00a0 For a $12 burger I expect a better grind.<\/p>\n<p>My wife really enjoyed the Mushroom melt which was topped with Havarti Cheese, American Cheese, Saut\u00e9ed<br \/>\nMushrooms, Caramelized Onion, and A\u00efoli.\u00a0 She said it was wonderful although I did not get a chance to try it.<\/p>\n<p>My son enjoyed his Farmer\u2019s Burger which was topped with Havarti Cheese, Fried Egg, Petit Jean Bacon,<br \/>\nButter Leaf Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion, and A\u00efoli.\u00a0 He finished it off as well and I did not have a chance to try it out.<\/p>\n<p>Overall the food was great and I will be visiting Big Orange again in the future.\u00a0 The restaurant has a very friendly modern interior and has a nice casual atmosphere.\u00a0 I can easily see how Big Orange could become a chain around the country.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Sunday-Thursday: 10:30 am \u2013 10:00 pm<br \/>\nFriday-Saturday 10:30 AM \u2013 10:30 pm (Bar open til midnight)<br \/>\nBIG ORANGE | 17809 Chenal Pkwy, Ste.G-101, Little Rock, Arkansas 72223<br \/>\nPhone: (501) 821-1515 | Fax: (501) 821-3033<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.urbanspoon.com\/r\/200\/1613971\/restaurant\/Big-Orange-Little-Rock\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none;
