{"id":1628,"date":"2011-12-05T07:47:47","date_gmt":"2011-12-05T13:47:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/foodiecuisine.com\/wordpress\/?p=1628"},"modified":"2012-01-29T22:44:16","modified_gmt":"2012-01-30T04:44:16","slug":"the-terrace-mediterranean-kitchen-little-rock","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/foodiecuisine.com\/wordpress\/reviews\/the-terrace-mediterranean-kitchen-little-rock\/","title":{"rendered":"The Terrace Mediterranean Kitchen, Little Rock"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>By Todd Barron @ FoodieCuisine.com<\/h4>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arktimes.com\/arkansas\/the-terrace-mediterranean-kitchen\/Location?oid=861776\">Terrace on the Greens<\/a>, most recently renamed to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arktimes.com\/arkansas\/the-terrace-mediterranean-kitchen\/Location?oid=861776\">The Terrace Mediterranean Kitchen<\/a>, has been a foundation restaurant in Little Rock spanning multiple decades.\u00a0 They have moved from the Breckenridge Mall, to a location behind Chili\u2019s, to the location where Jason\u2019s Deli is, to where they are now.\u00a0 Although the location has changed, and the owner once, the food has never suffered and they still have the best <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Baba_ghanoush\">babaganoush<\/a><\/strong>, <strong>hummus<\/strong>, and <strong>lunch specials<\/strong> around town.<\/p>\n<p>Jerry Baracat sold the restaurant to his ex-wife Teri not too long ago and she remodeled the place right after the purchase.\u00a0 I was worried the food would change but went for lunch the other day and was pleasantly surprised that all of my favorites are still on the menu.\u00a0 There are a few new items, and the appetizer portions are a tad smaller, but the food tasted great.<\/p>\n<p>I ordered the <strong>Gyro Sandwich<\/strong>, hold the onions and tomatoes, but add feta, along with the appetizer sampler consisting of <strong>babaganoush<\/strong> and , <strong>hummus<\/strong>.\u00a0 My wife had the same thing and our total bill came out to about $24 with our iced tea.\u00a0 They have many Mediterranean dishes on the menu including chicken <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Piccata\">piccata<\/a>, soups, salads, other sandwiches, and several lunch items including beef tenderloin.<\/p>\n<p>The interior is as small as before but is very comforting and I like the new design.\u00a0 They now have a bar you can sit at, for more total seating, and the place was packed.\u00a0 Teri was very welcoming of course and the wait-staff brought our drinks and food quickly.<\/p>\n<p>As I said before, the food tasted great with the hummus having a nice bite to it, not mealy like most other places, and the babaganoush was wonderful (my favorite item they have.)\u00a0 The gyro sandwiches were full of gyro meat and I really enjoy their pita bread.\u00a0 Overall our lunch was one of the best I have had in Little Rock and I will be back in the near future.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.urbanspoon.com\/r\/200\/1035029\/restaurant\/Terrace-On-the-Greens-Little-Rock\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none;
