{"id":2215,"date":"2012-10-09T09:50:30","date_gmt":"2012-10-09T14:50:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/foodiecuisine.com\/wordpress\/?p=2215"},"modified":"2012-10-09T09:50:49","modified_gmt":"2012-10-09T14:50:49","slug":"great-food-from-a-small-booth-at-the-river-market","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/foodiecuisine.com\/wordpress\/reviews\/great-food-from-a-small-booth-at-the-river-market\/","title":{"rendered":"Great Food from a Small Booth at The River-Market"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>By Todd Barron @ FoodieCuisine.com<\/h4>\n<div id=\"attachment_2219\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/foodiecuisine.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Bangkok_Thai_Red_Curry.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2219\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-2219\" title=\"Bangkok_Thai_Red_Curry\" src=\"http:\/\/foodiecuisine.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Bangkok_Thai_Red_Curry-300x224.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" srcset=\"http:\/\/foodiecuisine.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Bangkok_Thai_Red_Curry-300x224.jpg 300w, http:\/\/foodiecuisine.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Bangkok_Thai_Red_Curry.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-2219\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Bangkok Thai Red Curry Chicken<\/p><\/div>\n<p>It is 1:30pm and I do not have much time to eat lunch.\u00a0 Where to go?\u00a0 I know, the River-market which is down the block from my office.\u00a0 The problem is my past experiences there proved less than ideal there in the food arena.\u00a0 Regardless of the past, I give it a try and decide on Bangkok Thai Cuisine for my takeout.<\/p>\n<p>Bangkok Thai Cuisine has a tiny booth like most places in the River-market, but cooks food to order and does not draw from a pre-made steam table.\u00a0 I read they originally thought of pre-making everything but can attest to the good choice\u00a0to make everything on demand.<\/p>\n<p>I ordered the <strong>Red Chicken Curry ($6.99)<\/strong> and a <strong>Spring Roll ($0.99) <\/strong>to go.\u00a0\u00a0The food was ready within about 10 minutes and served with a generous portion of rice.\u00a0 I really like spicy food and ordered the curry Extra Spicy fully expecting it to be \u201cdumbed\u201d down for \u201ctypical\u201d tastes.\u00a0 Wow, was I wrong!\u00a0 It was spicy, enough to make me sniffle, and tasted great.<\/p>\n<p>The coconut milk was prevalent with a nice depth of flavor from the red curry, and the vegetables were incorporated perfectly.\u00a0 The green bell peppers were crispy, but not too much so, and the carrots were cooked just right as well.\u00a0 The curry was not too salty, required no soy sauce, and was piping hot.<\/p>\n<p>I had no complaints and am happy to have found a great Thai restaurant which is right next to my office!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.urbanspoon.com\/r\/200\/1459622\/restaurant\/Bangkok-Thai-Little-Rock\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none;
