{"id":838,"date":"2010-11-25T09:27:09","date_gmt":"2010-11-25T15:27:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/foodiecuisine.com\/wordpress\/?p=838"},"modified":"2010-11-25T09:27:54","modified_gmt":"2010-11-25T15:27:54","slug":"shotgun-dans-pizza-little-rock","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/foodiecuisine.com\/wordpress\/italian-cuisine\/shotgun-dans-pizza-little-rock\/","title":{"rendered":"Shotgun Dan&#8217;s Pizza, Little Rock"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>By Todd Barron @ FoodieCuisine.com<\/h4>\n<div id=\"attachment_845\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/foodiecuisine.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMAG0432.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-845\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-845\" title=\"Shotgun Dan's Loaded Barrel Pizza\" src=\"http:\/\/foodiecuisine.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMAG0432-300x179.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"179\" srcset=\"http:\/\/foodiecuisine.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMAG0432-300x179.jpg 300w, http:\/\/foodiecuisine.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMAG0432-1024x612.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-845\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Shotgun Dan&#39;s Loaded Barrel Pizza<\/p><\/div>\n<p>I\u2019ve been a customer of Shotgun Dan\u2019s Pizza for many years and my son suggested we go there last Saturday night.\u00a0 We hopped in the car and drove on over.\u00a0\u00a0If you have never been there (are you living under a rock?,) Shotgun\u00a0Dan\u2019s\u00a0is a very casual place with a\u00a0semi-old-western theme on the inside.\u00a0 There are wood tables and wood booths and a couple of flat screen televisions mounted to watch football on.\u00a0 They also have a salad bar should you opt for the all you can eat salad option.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The place is usually on the messy side as I had to kick forks and pizza crust out of the way to sit down, as well as wipe crumbs off of my seat.\u00a0 I suggest\u00a0the owners should enforce better cleaning standards even when they are busy.\u00a0 I wouldn\u2019t let this distract you from going there, but do have an open mind.<\/p>\n<p>We ordered the <strong>Golden Nuggets (~$6)<\/strong> for my son which is a pizza crust with cheese on top and served with a\u00a0side of marinara.\u00a0 Normally it\u2019s an appetizer but he likes it as a meal and it\u2019s big enough to serve one person.\u00a0 My wife and I ordered the <strong>Loaded Barrel Pizza (~$18)<\/strong> which is a supreme\u00a0pizza with extra toppings.\u00a0 We also opted to add green olives to the pizza for an extra zing.\u00a0 My son played on the arcade games while we waited for the food to show up and my wife and I watched the Razorback\u2019s Football game on tv.<\/p>\n<p>The Golden Nuggets came out and I inspected the crust to see how well they were cooked.\u00a0 At first it appeared as though they were undercooked but I took a bite and was very happy with the texture.\u00a0 The cheese was plentiful and very well melted and the marinara sauce is nice and spicy.\u00a0 I always like the Golden Nuggets and they were as good as ever.<\/p>\n<p>The Loaded Barrel pizza came out next and I asked for a side of jalapenos to put on my pizza.\u00a0 The pizza once again appeared to have an undercooked crust (white on the bottom,) but the texture and taste proved me wrong.\u00a0 It was very well cooked with a large amount of toppings.\u00a0 After adding some red pepper flakes and Parmesan cheese, it was complete.\u00a0 It had a great texture to it and the green olives add a really nice zing to the taste.\u00a0 The pizza was as good as usual and is something I wish my diet would allow me to eat more often.\u00a0 I\u2019ll be back and suggest you give them a try.\u00a0 Order what I did and you won\u2019t be disappointed!<\/p>\n<p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.urbanspoon.com\/r\/200\/1034921\/restaurant\/Shotgun-Dans-Pizza-Little-Rock\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 200px;
