{"id":842,"date":"2010-12-02T17:42:30","date_gmt":"2010-12-02T23:42:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/foodiecuisine.com\/wordpress\/?p=842"},"modified":"2010-12-02T17:43:25","modified_gmt":"2010-12-02T23:43:25","slug":"mc-alisters-deli-little-rock","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/foodiecuisine.com\/wordpress\/general\/mc-alisters-deli-little-rock\/","title":{"rendered":"Mc Alister&#8217;s Deli, Little Rock"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4><span>By Todd Barron @ <span>FoodieCuisine<\/span>.com<\/span><\/h4>\n<div><span><\/span><\/div>\n<p><span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_862\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/foodiecuisine.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/IMAG0420.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-862\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-862\" title=\"Chipotle Chicken Wrap\" src=\"http:\/\/foodiecuisine.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/IMAG0420-300x179.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"179\" srcset=\"http:\/\/foodiecuisine.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/IMAG0420-300x179.jpg 300w, http:\/\/foodiecuisine.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/IMAG0420.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-862\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Chipotle Chicken Wrap<\/p><\/div>\n<p>I met my wife for lunch the other day at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mcalistersdeli.com\/locations\/zipcode.asp\">Mc Alister\u2019s Deli <\/a>on Rodney <span>Parham<\/span> in Little Rock.\u00a0 I normally like their deli sandwiches and wanted something low-fat and quick.\u00a0 You can of course order very fattening and high-calorie food there but if you are careful you can have a tasty and healthy meal.\u00a0 Specifically, I was looking towards a turkey sandwich with no cheese.<\/p>\n<p><span>Mc <span>Alisters<\/span> is a chain and is a step above fast-food places like Subway.\u00a0 It is not a sit-down and order restaurant though.\u00a0 You place your order at the front counter, take a number (usually,) and sit down while your food is prepared.\u00a0 They typically bring it out in baskets and that\u2019s the whole process.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<p>We ordered after a few minutes and I had the <strong><span>Chipotle Chicken Wrap ($6.99)<\/span><\/strong> with an iced tea.\u00a0 My wife had the <strong>Grilled Chicken Caesar Wrap ($6.99)<\/strong>.\u00a0 They didn\u2019t give us a number, which I found odd, but we paid and sat down after receiving our drinks.<\/p>\n<p><span>Several minutes went by as I watched people who were behind us in line receive their food.\u00a0 I also watched as they completed their food and left.\u00a0 After about 30 minutes I went to the register to ask what was taking so long.\u00a0 Did they have to kill the chickens?\u00a0 Maybe they were trying to resurrect Caesar to obtain his original recipe?\u00a0 Anyways, they apparently had lost our order.\u00a0 The cashier couldn\u2019t figure out how it could get lost and was stumped.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p>A manager came out from the back, whispered something in her ear, and they proceeded to offer us a refund and a remake of our order.\u00a0 Apparently the order had been placed on the completed spinner in the back instead of the to-be-completed one.\u00a0 We needed to leave but went ahead and requested a re-do.\u00a0 We also opted to take the refund offer.\u00a0 Normally I wouldn\u2019t do this but we did get forgotten and the nice gesture was called on.\u00a0 I applaud them for having he customer service sense to do this and appreciate it.\u00a0 I\u2019ve been to many places who won\u2019t do anything to rectify customer problems.<\/p>\n<p>Our food finally came out after the 50 minute ordeal.\u00a0 The wrap is described as <em><span>\u201cSlices of grilled chicken, fat-free <span>chipotle<\/span> peach sauce, Romaine, tomatoes, cucumbers and tortilla strips in a wheat wrap.\u201d<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0 My wrap looked good but was messy when I picked it up.\u00a0 The messy part came from the chipotle peach sauce as it had pooled under my wrap\u00a0in the basket.\u00a0 The sauce had a sweet flavor with zero heat in it.\u00a0 I expected it to be spicy but it did have an <span>ok<\/span> flavor.
