Asada Tacos<\/p><\/div>\n<p>I\u2019ve been eating at Taqueria Karina Cafe for close to a decade now but not often enough.\u00a0 The reason for my absence is that they are located on West 65th street that is far outside of my normal area.\u00a0 The other issue is that they don\u2019t have many low-calorie options and I don\u2019t eat fattening foods during the week.<\/p>\n<p>I used to go scuba diving with my father in Cozumel many years ago before it was a tourist trap.\u00a0 Back then, the town ended about two blocks outside of the \u201ccity\u201d square and the best place to get food was at a thatched hut.\u00a0 Two guys would drive up on a scooter with an ice-chest on the back, unload, and cook lunch at the hut.\u00a0 It cost around 50 cents for two asada (beef) tacos and they were amazing.\u00a0 Nothing beat drinking a Corona , sitting on the beach under a hut, and eating authentic homemade tacos.<\/p>\n<p>Teleport across the Ocean to the United States and then into Arkansas and the best alternative to Mexico can be found at Taqueria Karina Cafe.\u00a0 It\u2019s not under a hut and it\u2019s not located on a beach, but the food is spot on.\u00a0 It costs more than 50 cents for two tacos but given inflation it\u2019s not much more.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Every lunch\u00a0or dinner starts with free homemade salsa\u00a0served warm with homemade tortilla chips.\u00a0 The salsa tastes different every time I eat\u00a0there\u00a0but\u00a0is very good.\u00a0 It\u00a0has a bit of a kick to it so be forewarned if you don\u2019t like spicy hot food.\u00a0<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_993\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/foodiecuisine.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/taqueri2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-993\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-993\" title=\"Taqueria Karina Cafe -
